Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Fire Protection Engineering Consultant to lead customer-facing project work, coordinating with AHJs and clients to ensure compliance for fire protection and life safety systems. The role requires organization, detail orientation, and the ability to work independently from home with frequent travel.

Qualifications include a BS degree or equivalent, EIT and future PE exam, and willingness to travel up to 50% across US/Canada. NV5 offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
• Collaborate with engineering and/or design on projects to deliver compliant, cost-efficient solutions.
• Develop and deliver client reports on updates to ensure compliance and operational functionality of fire protection systems.
• Provide code and standard references and document research for fire protection.
• Meet with jurisdiction authorities and clients to resolve compliance questions.
• Continuously review changing codes, standards, and practices to ensure compliance.
