Job summary

Salas O’Brien is seeking a Fire Protection Designer to lead Revit production and coordination on diverse projects, including DOD and Federal. This hybrid role combines in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility and mentorship opportunities for junior staff.

You will draft construction documents, perform design calculations, and ensure compliance with industry standards while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across disciplines and project stages.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fire protection design experience.
• Working knowledge of ASHRAE, ASME, NFPA, NEC; pref. IBC/IMC/IECC/IPC.

Responsibilities

• Lead Revit production and fire protection construction documents for multiple projects.
• Produce complex floor plans, riser diagrams, schedules and layouts.
• Coordinate Revit models with MEPS and architectural disciplines.
• Lead clash detection and resolve design development issues.
• Manage drawing deliverables, deadlines and production priorities.
