Job summary

HED is seeking a Fire Protection Designer to advance design documentation, perform calculations, and coordinate across disciplines. The role focuses on developing design packages with guidance from project engineers and growing technical depth in fire protection systems.

Operating with increasing autonomy, you will publish sheet lists, model components in Revit, and participate in project execution and client meetings. Hybrid work model with office days is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent) required.
• 2+ years of experience in the AEC industry preferred.
• Hybrid work availability with ability to come to office.
• Revit experience required.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Produce the fire protection sheet list and set up project in Revit.
• Contribute to BIM Project Execution Plan.
• Coordinate fire protection systems with other disciplines.
• Develop redline markups and delegate tasks to team members.
• Support QAQC per HED's Design Process and review deliverables.
• Attend client and project team meetings to review requirements.
