Job summary

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, Engineers & Planners, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ seeks a licensed engineer with a Bachelor's in Fire Protection or Mechanical Engineering and at least 6 years of experience. This senior role focuses on engineering calculations, system design, and mentoring staff to meet project goals.

You will coordinate with project teams, review drawings for code compliance, manage schedules and budgets, and maintain strong client communication and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection or Mechanical Engineering required
• At least 6 years of work experience and US professional licensure required
• Strong communication and leadership skills required

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and layout/design of systems per codes with minimal supervision
• Apply practical knowledge to resolve project issues and make independent engineering decisions
• Supervise designers or junior engineers when needed
• Coordinate with Project Engineer/Manager on design scope, budgets and schedules
• Provide leadership and assign tasks to designers to meet deadlines and stay within budget
• Review preliminary and final designs for function, coordination and quality
