Job summary

Cuhaci Peterson is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection Engineering and 10–15 years of licensed experience. The individual will serve as Engineer of Record in several states and lead projects with strong QA on documents and RFI responses.

The role requires coordinating with architects, managers, and other disciplines, mentoring team members, and maintaining client relations while upholding firm standards across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering and licensure as Engineer of Record in multiple states.
• 10–15 years of licensed engineering experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; leadership in client discussions.

Responsibilities

• Implement engineering projects including Construction Documents, coordinating with other disciplines, permitting, bidding and construction administration.
• Ensure high quality assurance on drawings, specifications, and RFI responses.
• Lead and mentor engineering designers to produce high-quality construction documents within budget.
• Coordinate with project architect and manager to discuss design scope, schedule, budget and site issues.
• Manage project budgets, man-hours, and client communications; serve as main contact for clients and consultants.
• Represent client interests at hearings and meetings when needed.
