Job summary

Prince William County Government is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to lead fire prevention efforts for new and existing structures. You will oversee fire protection systems and ensure compliance with the Virginia Construction Code and NFPA standards.

You will interact with contractors, project managers, elected officials, and county agencies, applying your SME knowledge while multitasking and maintaining high integrity and clear communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3 years of inspections experience.
• SME in Virginia Construction Code and NFPA standards.
• Must communicate well with contractors, officials, and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fire prevention in new and existing construction.
• Serve as primary/secondary contact for contractors and project managers.
• Ensure compliance with approved plans and state building and fire codes.
