Job summary

Prince William County is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector within the Fire Marshal's Office to oversee fire prevention in new and existing construction, ensuring compliance with the Virginia Construction Code, NFPA standards, and VSFPC. Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. and 3 years of experience in inspections of fire and life safety systems.
• Preference for FireInspector I/II to NFPA 1030 and certifications like 3B Inspector.
• Experience with NFPA standards and VSFPC and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in Virginia Construction Code and NFPA standards related to Fire/Life Safety.
• Act as primary/secondary contact with contractors, project managers, officials, and agencies.
• Inspect fire protection systems for compliance with plans and codes.
