Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Fire Alarm Project Leader 1 in Virginia to lead design and implementation of life-safety fire alarm systems across plant facilities.

The role requires 7+ years in applications engineering with at least 5 years in project leadership, plus strong code knowledge and customer collaboration. You will manage multiple contracts from design through start-up, coordinate with engineers, field staff, and contractors, and maintain project schedules and budgets to ensure on-time

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in applications engineering with at least 5 years in project leadership responsible for budget, schedule, and delivery.
• B.S. Degree in Engineering and relevant field experience.
• IBC, NEC, and NFPA code knowledge or willingness to ramp up in this area.
• Excellent communication with customers, management, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Managing multiple contracts $500K-$3M in value with a team of 5-10 personnel.
• Leading fire alarm detection and suppression systems contracts.
• Developing cost estimates and proposals.
• Scheduling and leading design and installation kick-off meetings.
• Monitoring budgets to ensure profitability.
• Ensuring compliance with building and safety codes.
