Job summary

MetroPower is seeking a Lead Technician, Low Voltage to supervise installation, testing and troubleshooting of Fire Alarm systems. The role combines hands‑on technical work with leadership duties, coordinating with project managers and guiding field staff to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Fire Alarm installation, NICET certification, and strong knowledge of local codes.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Fire Alarm systems installation, with experience supervising a team of installers.
NICET Certification required.
Familiarity with local building codes and regulations related to Fire Alarm systems installation.
Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate project work plans, ensuring installations stay on schedule and within budget.
Mentor and supervise low voltage technicians, ensuring safety and quality standards.
Install low voltage systems per codes and standards; perform testing and commissioning as needed.
Complete post-installation documentation and coordinate with supervisors for final inspections.
Deliver professional customer service and clear communication throughout project execution.
Identify and address safety hazards; promote safety training and PPE compliance.
