Job summary

DriveWealth is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Post Trade Engineering team. You will design, develop and implement scalable, low-latency brokerage systems and services.

The role focuses on building REST APIs and event-driven architectures with Kafka, deployed on Kubernetes, with a strong emphasis on production support, observability, and high availability in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of Software Engineering experience with Java and Spring.
• Proficient in building REST APIs and event-driven architectures with Kafka on Kubernetes.
• Capital Markets or fintech background preferred, focus on trade lifecycle.
• Experience with Jira, Git, and shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Build new products and features with high-performance, low-latency brokerage systems using Java.
• Translate requirements into technical features with Product/Operations.
• Design event-driven architectures using Kafka; dockerized and Kubernetes deployed.
• Support production by triaging, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Increase observability, resilience, and recoverability of applications.
• Analyze service performance and modify software components as needed.
• Define specs, modify stack, prepare test data and functional specs.
• Evaluate performance using various languages/tools.
