AngelList is hiring a Financial Partnerships Lead to oversee the bank, infrastructure, and credit partners powering Nova. You will define partner strategy, negotiate terms, and guide aliances to accelerate our roadmap.

This senior IC role reports to Nova’s GM and offers a path to building a team. We operate with hubs in New York City and San Francisco; hybrid work is standard, with compensation comprising base salary, benefits, and equity.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years in bank partnerships, fintech partnerships, treasury or deposit programs, or banking.
• Experience managing partner banks, sweep networks, payment providers, or infrastructure providers, and understanding how banks oversee fintech partners, including third-party risk, BSA/AML, and FDIC insurance for custodial deposits.
• Negotiated complex commercial agreements with counsel and modeled the economics before signing.
• Able to discuss APIs, payment rails, and reconciliation with engineers, and explain partner limits to Product in plain terms.
• Managed multiple high-stakes relationships without a playbook, and made decisions with incomplete data.

• Develop and own our partnership strategy while collaborating with product to bring our roadmap to life.
• Define and own the partner selection process and strategy, from market mapping to commercial negotiations.
• Lead the search for new partners as Nova expands its offerings and infrastructure requirements.
• Maintain network resilience by managing deposit concentration and redundancy options for critical partners, renegotiating or replacing partners as needed.
• Serve as the senior point of contact and escalation for each partner, from working teams to executives.
• Lead third-party oversight with Risk, Compliance, and AML, from partner audits and diligence requests to issue remediation.
