Job summary

Medidata is seeking a Sr. Manager, FinOps Platform Engineering in Iselin, NJ, to own and build the FinOps tooling stack. You’ll connect cost data sources, automate cost governance, and deliver self-service insights for engineering, product, and finance.

You will architect data pipelines, enforce tagging, and instrument AI/LLM spend while partnering with the FinOps Architect and Program Manager. This is a hands-on leadership role with enterprise impact.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software/data/system eng experience; FinOps or cloud cost mgmt is a strong plus.
• Proven ability to build AI-assisted tooling and production-grade data pipelines.
• Experience designing APIs and data models for cost and usage data.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the FinOps tooling integrating cost and usage data from AWS, Snowflake, and other sources.
• Develop tagging enforcement and policy compliance at deploy time.
• Create self-service cost insights for engineering, product, and finance teams.
