Job summary

Medidata, a Dassault Systèmes brand, is seeking a Sr. Manager of FinOps Platform Engineering to own the tooling, telemetry, and automation that expose cost and usage data for cloud resources and AI spend.

You will design and ship the FinOps platform, build self-service tooling, and partner with Engineering to optimize cost governance and data-driven decisions. You will lead the end-to-end data pipelines, implement tagging and policy enforcement, and drive the roadmap for scalable cloud cost

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Software Eng., Data Eng., Platform Eng., or DevOps with a strong FinOps or cloud cost Mgmt background.
• Proficiency with AI coding tools as part of production engineering workflow.
• Hands-on skills in Python/SQL, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Experience with AWS and Snowflake, including billing/usage data integration and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain tooling and integrations to connect cost and usage data sources into a unified FinOps platform.
• Own data pipelines feeding dashboards and reconcile spend to invoices.
• Develop self-service tooling and APIs for internal stakeholders to access cost insights.
• Instrument AI/LLM usage and governance, including token-level attribution and gateways.
• Automate cost allocation, Savings Plan coverage, and anomaly detection.
• Collaborate with Engineering to instrument systems for telemetry and cost visibility.
