Job summary

State Street Corporation seeks an experienced Senior FinOps Analyst to strengthen financial accountability, cost transparency, and optimization across cloud and AI environments.

The role partners with engineering, finance, procurement, and business teams to align technology spending with business value, budget objectives, and governance standards, maturing enterprise FinOps capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (CS/Engineering/Finance)
• Proven experience in Cloud FinOps and financial analysis
• Strong Excel and data visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau)

Responsibilities

• Monitor cloud and AI consumption and manage FinOps platforms for multiple environments.
• Develop automated ingestion of cloud, AI, SaaS, and related financial data from internal and external sources.
• Deliver dashboards and executive reports showing costs, usage, trends, and KPIs.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning with cost and business data.
• Identify optimization opportunities through rightsizing, rate analysis, and cost-saving recommendations.
• Manage cloud commitments (RI, Savings Plans) and validate rates and utilization.
• Design anomaly detection, spend alerts, and governance controls for spend visibility.
• Track AI consumption metrics and allocate costs to cost centers.
• Develop allocation, showback, chargeback, and KPI methodologies linking spend to products.
