Job summary

STATE STREET CORPORATION seeks a Vice President, FinOps for AI to establish the enterprise FinOps discipline for artificial intelligence and provide governance, cost transparency, forecasting, allocation, optimization, and reporting across AI platforms and services.

This hands-on leader will build the methodology, analyze cost and usage data, and present AI economics to senior leadership to ensure measurable value and financial accountability across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, or technology finance within a large enterprise.
• Understanding AI pricing, tokens, model costs, and accelerated compute economics.
• Ability to build a new operating discipline with governance, documentation, and auditability.

Responsibilities

• Establish enterprise FinOps for AI with scope, taxonomy, methodology, and governance.
• Create integrated AI cost views across hyperscalers, AI gateways, models, and data platforms.
• Define unit economics and connect spending to products, services, and value.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, and variance analysis for AI investments.
• Set allocation standards and reporting by business unit, application, and use case.
• Identify optimization opportunities via routing, prompt efficiency, and compute sizing.
