Job summary

GFIT in the United States seeks a Senior Analyst, Financial Systems Security to protect financial systems and sensitive data across a complex technology environment. This is a remote, full‑time opportunity with potential travel for in‑person collaboration.

You will lead advanced monitoring and analysis of security alerts, conduct investigations, perform risk assessments, oversee ITGC and SOX controls, and coordinate with auditors and cross‑functional teams to embed secure design into deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Management or a related field.
• 7+ years in IT security, security operations, IT audit, or financial systems compliance.
• Experience managing security initiatives and supporting regulatory assessments.
• Knowledge of security and regulatory standards applicable to financial systems.
• Familiarity with financial applications and security monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced monitoring and analysis of security alerts and logs to identify threats affecting financial systems.
• Investigate complex security events, conduct root-cause analyses, and coordinate remediation with relevant technical teams.
• Act as escalation point for high-risk security issues and incidents requiring cross-functional coordination.
• Conduct security risk assessments, identify control gaps, and recommend practical remediation strategies.
• Evaluate the security implications of system changes, new applications, integrations, and enhancements to ensure risks are addressed early in the delivery lifecycle.
• Support IT General Controls (ITGC) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control activities related to security monitoring, access management, and incident response.
• Provide security expertise during application implementations, infrastructure changes, and system enhancements, advising on secure design and configuration.
• Review technical designs, security requirements, and change requests to ensure alignment with corporate security standards and policies.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, project management, and governance teams to incorporate security considerations into implementation plans.
• Serve as a key contact for internal and external auditors, supporting audit walkthroughs, evidence collection, compliance reviews, and remediation discussions.
• Review security documentation, procedures, and control evidence to maintain audit readiness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Identify opportunities to improve control design, documentation quality, audit efficiency, security monitoring, reporting, and operational effectiveness.
• Share security knowledge with team members, support professional development, and contribute to the refinement of security standards, procedures, and operational practices.
