Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an Senior Analyst for Financial Systems Security to protect financial data across a complex tech environment. The role combines monitoring, risk assessment, incident investigation, and control oversight to strengthen security practices and compliance with SOX and ITGC.

You will work with application, infrastructure, governance, and project teams to embed security into implementations and changes, while supporting audits and regulatory assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, or related field.
• Seven years of IT security, security operations, IT audits, and/or financial systems compliance.
• Experience managing security initiatives and supporting regulatory assessments.
• Familiarity with financial applications, security monitoring tools, and related technology environments.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; professional certification preferred.
• Able to work remotely full-time with occasional travel to Miami, FL.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced monitoring and analysis of security alerts and logs to identify threats and trends affecting financial systems.
• Investigate complex security events, perform root-cause analyses, and coordinate remediation with technical teams.
• Act as escalation point for high-risk security issues requiring cross-functional coordination.
• Conduct security risk assessments, identify control gaps, and propose practical remediation strategies.
• Evaluate security implications of system changes, new apps, and integrations to address risks early in delivery.
• Support ITGC and SOX control activities related to security monitoring, access management, and incident response.
• Provide security expertise during implementations and changes, advising on secure design and configuration.
• Review designs, security requirements, and change requests for policy alignment.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, governance, and project teams to embed security into execution plans.
• Serve as a key contact for auditors, supporting walkthroughs, evidence collection, and remediation discussions.
• Identify opportunities to improve control design, documentation quality, and audit efficiency.
• Share security knowledge with team members and support professional development.
