Job summary

GFIT seeks a Senior Analyst, Financial Systems Security to protect financial systems and sensitive data across a complex technology environment. You will lead advanced monitoring, risk assessment, incident investigation, and control oversight to reduce risk and ensure SOX/ITGC compliance while collaborating with application, infrastructure, governance, and project teams.

This remote, full-time role allows occasional travel to headquarters in Miami, Florida for in-person collaboration and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in IT security, security operations, IT audit, and/or financial systems compliance.
• Professional certification in security, compliance, or financial systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead monitoring and analysis of security alerts and logs to detect threats affecting financial systems.
• Investigate security events, perform root-cause analyses, coordinate remediation.
• Escalate high-risk security issues with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct security risk assessments, identify control gaps, and recommend remediation strategies.
• Evaluate security implications of system changes to address risks early in delivery lifecycle.
• Support ITGC and SOX controls related to security monitoring, access management, and incident response.
• Provide security expertise during implementations, advising on secure design and configuration.
• Review security designs, requirements, and change requests for alignment with standards.
• Collaborate with teams to incorporate security into implementation plans.
• Serve as a contact for auditors, supporting walkthroughs and evidence collection.
• Review security documentation and control evidence to maintain audit readiness.
• Identify opportunities to improve control design, documentation quality, and audit efficiency.
• Share security knowledge and refine security standards and practices.
