The role requires seven+ years in IT security or financial systems compliance, plus a Bachelor’s in a related field. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Systems Management, or related field.
• 7+ years in IT security, security operations, IT audit, or financial systems compliance.
• Experience managing security initiatives and supporting regulatory assessments.
• Knowledge of security standards and controls for financial systems.
• Familiarity with financial applications and security monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Security/compliance certification preferred; remote work with travel to Miami, FL.

Responsabilités

• Lead monitoring and analysis of security alerts and logs for financial systems.
• Investigate security events, perform root-cause analyses, coordinate remediation.
• Escalate high-risk security issues requiring cross-functional coordination.
• Conduct security risk assessments and recommend remediation strategies.
• Evaluate security implications of system changes and new apps.
• Support ITGC and SOX control activities related to security monitoring.
• Provide security expertise during implementations and changes.
• Review designs and change requests for alignment with security standards.
• Collaborate with teams to embed security into implementation plans.
• Assist auditors with walkthroughs, evidence collection, and remediation discussions.
• Review security docs and control evidence to maintain audit readiness.
• Identify opportunities to improve control design and monitoring.
