Job summary

The Senior Financial Systems Analyst will provide business and financial management support to D PAE Maritime M & S, the U.S. Navy's program office for Surface Ship Modernization and Sustainment.

Qualifications include 10+ years of Navy program office experience, proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally. U.S. security clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience providing business and financial management support to U.S. Navy program offices.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field from an institution accredited in the United States
  • EVM Certificate or equivalent
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets by measuring organizational performance and assessing the effects of various programs and policies on the budget.
  • Examine budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives.
  • May employ cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program tradeoffs, and explore alternative funding methods.
  • Develop guidelines and policies governing the formulation and maintenance of budgets.
  • May conduct training sessions for company or government agency personnel regarding new budget procedures.
  • Plan internal and external engagements, including meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Assist in the development of briefing material and drafting documents in accordance with Navy Correspondence Manual guidelines.
