Job summary

Sage Search Partners is seeking a Senior Analyst, SEC Reporting to join a publicly traded construction and infrastructure company in the mid-cities area. This newly created role will own a meaningful portion of the external reporting cycle, including the 10-Q and 10-K, MD&A, earnings materials, and the technical accounting behind complex transactions.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA or be actively pursuing one, 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, strong U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including public company SEC reporting.
• A real promotion track; succession plan for SEC Reporting Manager.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file the quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K, with schedules and disclosures.
• Draft and review MD&A, explain movement in results and resources.
• Research technical accounting under U.S. GAAP and document conclusions.
• Support earnings releases, annual report, proxy, and Forms 8-K; maintain calendar.
• Run SOX work quarterly/annually and coordinate with auditors.
• Partner with FP&A, Legal, Investor Relations, Tax, Treasury, and accounting teams.

A publicly traded construction and infrastructure company in the mid-cities area is searching for a Senior Analyst, SEC Reporting to join their Corporate Accounting team. This position is newly created and will take ownership of a meaningful share of the external reporting cycle, including the 10-Q and 10-K, MD&A, earnings materials, and the technical accounting behind complex transactions.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants a pathway to leadership, because the career track here is built in rather than promised. There is no SEC Reporting Manager above this seat today, and the Director is hiring the person he intends to develop into that role over the next two to three years. The seat sits three levels from the Chief Accounting Officer, so executive exposure starts on week one. The ideal candidate will have a CPA or be actively pursuing one, three to five years of progressive accounting experience, strong U.S. GAAP, and hands‑on SEC reporting work, with Big Four or large regional public accounting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file the quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K, along with the supporting schedules, analyses, and disclosure checklists.
• Draft and review MD&A, explaining movement in results, liquidity, and capital resources.
• Research technical accounting under U.S. GAAP and document conclusions on acquisitions, business combinations, debt, and equity transactions.
• Support earnings releases, the annual report, the proxy statement, and Forms 8-K, and keep the reporting calendar on deadline.
• Run quarterly and annual SOX work and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Partner with FP&A, Legal, Investor Relations, Tax, Treasury, and business unit accounting teams on reported results and disclosures.
