Job summary

GVI Inc., a federal government contractor, seeks a Financial Project Manager in Charleston, VA, to lead DoD BI and financial analytics programs for NIWC Atlantic. The role focuses on improving decision-making, financial management, and program execution across the Navy’s C5ISR initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in DoD/ BUS-FM, with experience directing teams, ensuring FAR compliance, and delivering valuable management insights to leadership.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Financial Management or related field.
• DAWIA Level 3 Business-Financial Management (BUS-FM) Certification or Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM).
• Ten (10) years of direct work experience of C4ISR Financial Management.
• Eight (8) years of direct work experience, to include: design/development, production, installation, and test & evaluation of Financial Management systems.
• Four (4) years as manager of business financial management, to include: supervising project personnel, scheduling work, and proposals/bids.
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of complex DoD BI and analytics programs supporting NIWC Atlantic.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams delivering business, financial, and programmatic support services.
• Oversee project planning, scheduling, risk management, staffing, and contract performance.
• Direct business analytics initiatives supporting predictive and prescriptive decision-making.
• Support acquisition planning, budgeting, funds execution, and program lifecycle management.
• Monitor program performance using established metrics and provide executive-level reporting.
