Job summary

Allianz Commercial seeks a Senior Underwriter, Financial Lines to join our San Francisco or Los Angeles team. You will evaluate and manage a portfolio of complex commercial insurance accounts, build strong broker relationships, and influence regional underwriting strategy.

You will mentor junior underwriters and collaborate with claims, operations, and market management to deliver a seamless client experience. The role requires 5+ years of Financial Lines underwriting, a solid U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of underwriting experience in Financial Lines or related field.
• Solid understanding of the U.S. commercial insurance market and regulatory environment.
• Experience drafting and interpreting policy language and coverage terms.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet growth and profitability targets.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with brokers.
• Manage capacity and evaluate risk across a diverse book of business.
• Ensure accounts meet governance standards and compliance requirements.
• Oversee policy documentation, file maintenance, and administrative processes.
• Collaborate with Market Management, Claims, Operations, and other teams.
