Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to own the accuracy of sales transaction data across Finance and Sales. You will partner with FP&A to establish controls and reconciliation routines ensuring data moves correctly from transaction systems into BI and financial reporting.

This role sits at the intersection of finance and IT, guiding data integrity during ERP migrations, new integrations, and future data warehouse initiatives to support timely, reliable reporting

Qualifications

• Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills with the ability to perform detailed reconciliations across multiple data sources.
• Basic SQL knowledge is helpful but not required.
• Strong financial and business judgment with an ability to recognize unusual or potentially inaccurate results.
• Ability to review system and integration logs, investigate errors, and clearly communicate technical issues to the appropriate teams.
• Working knowledge of revenue recognition and an understanding of how transactional activity ultimately impacts financial reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and comfort performing recurring, transaction-level validation work.
• Strong follow-through with the confidence to elevate issues and maintain ownership until they are resolved.
• Ability to work effectively between Finance and technical teams, translating business requirements and data issues across both groups.

Responsibilities

• Own data integrity across sales transaction data used by Finance and Sales.
• Develop and maintain reconciliation procedures across transaction, payment, and reporting systems.
• Monitor data movement and investigate discrepancies between source platforms and BI.
• Collaborate with IT to address issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Support FP&A with data-related issues during monthly close and provide updates on data health and migrations.
