Job summary

Paylocity is a cloud-based HR and payroll software provider seeking a Senior Financial Data Analyst. You will independently plan and execute analytics projects impacting revenue growth, efficiency, and client experience, partnering with executives to define KPIs and reporting frameworks.

You will build predictive models and dashboards using SQL, Python/R, Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, and cloud platforms, while driving data governance and agile analytics delivery across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
• 5-8 years of experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, or sales operations within a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
• Expertise in SQL, Python/R, Power BI, and advanced Excel modeling; experience with ERP/CRM systems and strong relational database skills (Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.) preferred.
• Strong understanding of sales processes, operational metrics, and financial modeling.
• Proven ability to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and deliver insights that drive strategic outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead analytics projects that influence executive decisions and KPI definitions.
• Develop KPIs and reporting frameworks aligned with growth objectives.
• Present analysis results to leadership and drive productivity improvements.
• Lead predictive modeling and financial forecasting using SQL, Python/R, and BI platforms.
• Apply advanced statistical methods and ML for trend analysis and revenue forecasting.
• Design automated dashboards using Salesforce, Tableau, Power BI, and cloud data platforms.
• Ensure scalable, accurate data pipelines for enterprise analytics.
• Lead cross-functional analytics projects with Agile methodologies.
