Job summary

GridSight is seeking an accomplished finance leader to own the integrity, reliability and scalability of the company’s finance function. You will run the accounting engine end to end, establish policies, and provide clear financial visibility to leaders and investors.

You will manage external partners, lead audits, and build the finance capability required for GridSight’s next growth stage across entities and currencies.

Qualifications

• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification with strong technical accounting judgement.
• Experience owning a full accounting function including close, reporting, audit, tax and operations finance.
• Experience in high-growth technology with multi-entity, multi-currency and international operations.
• Practical understanding of SaaS or complex contract-based revenue models.
• Builder mindset: improve systems, controls and processes.
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to explain financial issues clearly to non-finance leaders.
• High-ownership, low-ego approach; ability to move between detail and strategy.
• Big 4 or mid-tier audit, ERP implementation or fundraising experience is valuable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and year-end close, consolidations, reconciliations and management reporting across all entities.
• Maintain integrity of the general ledger, balance sheet and financial statements with clear documentation.
• Establish and apply accounting policies for revenue recognition, capitalization and other material judgements.
• Produce accurate, decision-useful reporting for executives, Board and investors.
• Own accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, payroll, expenses, banking and treasury.
• Maintain visibility of cash, working capital and runway across entities and currencies.
• Ensure tax, statutory, payroll and regulatory obligations are met across jurisdictions.
• Lead audit preparation and coordinate with auditors, banks and advisers.
• Coordinate transfer pricing, R&D Tax Incentive and other compliance requirements.
• Design controls and operating rhythms to reduce risk and scalability.
• Own finance systems roadmap and source of truth across accounting, billing, payroll, expenses and reporting.
• Automate repetitive work and leverage modern tools, including AI as appropriate.
• Document core processes and reduce key-person dependencies for scalable growth.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, Board reporting and fundraising support.
• Translate results into insights and recommended actions for non-finance leaders.
• Lead and develop the internal finance team and outsourced partners.
