Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking a dedicated Controller to provide high-level support to the CFO and VP of Financial Services. This full-time role focuses on comprehensive financial and accounting oversight across the company, including monthly analyses, audit coordination, and process improvements.

The successful candidate will manage payroll and AP, ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and lead staff development across the finance function. U.S.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting or finance experience with increasing responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial statements.
• Excellent analytical, detail-oriented, and organized mindset.
• Effective communication and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly balance sheet account analysis.
• Conduct budget vs. actual analyses for Corporate on a monthly basis.
• Prepare cash, AP discount, and capitalization reports.
• Review and approve accounts payable in accordance with policy.
• Oversee new credit arrangements and related documentation.
• File quarterly federal fuel credits and complete tax returns.
• Manage internal and external audits and tax filings (US & international).
• Supervise payroll and AP staff; lead training and performance reviews.
• Improve internal controls and accounting processes across branches.
• Collaborate with bank relations on cash management and line of credit renewal.
• Assist with Branch Financial Analysis and ensure regulatory compliance.
