Job summary

SPS is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee controllership for one of its North America business lines. The role emphasizes monthly close, forecasting, controls, and cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Operations, and Sales.

The successful candidate will lead P&L reviews, provide financial insights, and drive process improvements across reporting and dashboards. Strong Excel and SAP experience are required, with CPA progress a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Approximately 5–7+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience; 10–12 years preferred.
• Progression into controllership responsibilities with strong experience in financial reporting, month-end close and forecasting.
• Experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• CPA certification or progress toward CPA is a plus.
• Strong business acumen and ability to analyze risks and profitability.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly P&L and financial forecasting for the assigned business line.
• Prepare, review and analyze financial reports, identify trends and communicate findings.
• Support monthly and year-end close processes.
• Provide financial analysis related to contracts, revenue, costs, margins and profitability.
• Analyze variances and work with stakeholders to identify root causes and improvements.
• Partner with Operations, Sales and other stakeholders for planning and decision-making.
• Develop and maintain financial dashboards and analytical tools.
• Support standardized financial processes, controls and reporting methodologies.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce manual activities.
• Lead meetings, projects and process-improvement initiatives.
