Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial and analytical support to senior management, including Logistics leaders.

The role covers month-end close, forecasting and branch performance analysis from its HQ-related operations in Coral Gables, FL. You will partner with DOO, DOS and DOR to identify cost improvements, deliver training, ensure SOX compliance, and liaise with Shared Services and Corporate Accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
• 2–4 years of experience in corporate Finance within a Fortune 500 company or consulting firm.
• MBA or Post-MBA 5+ years preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, etc.) required.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Closing: journal entries to reclass revenue/expenses; variance analysis vs forecast; GL research to capture billing opportunities.
• Identify cost/productivity improvements with DOO, DOS and DOR.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysis.
• Provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures and tools.
• Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance: branch audits as needed to ensure compliance.
• Act as liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting.
