Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial and analytical support to senior management and logistics leaders. The role involves month-end close, forecasting, cost improvements, and training staff across business units.

Travel to HQ in Coral Gables, FL twice a month is expected. Strong communication, problem-solving, and MS Office skills are essential for success in a Fortune 500 finance group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• MBA preferred.
• 2–4+ years in corporate Finance in a Fortune 500 company or consulting.
• 5+ years post-MBA preferred.
• Proficient with computers including MS Office (intermediate).

Responsibilities

• Month-End Closing: prepare journal entries and analyze variances; research the general ledger for billing opportunities.
• Operational Initiatives: collaborate with DOO, DOS and DOR to identify cost/productivity improvements.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: include forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysis.
• Training: provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures and tools.
• Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance: conduct branch audits to ensure SOX compliance.
• Corporate: liaise with Ryder's Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting group.
