Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support senior management and logistics leadership with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. The role covers month-end close, variance analysis, and cross-functional cost initiatives.

You will train unit staff, assist with SOX compliance, and partner with Shared Services and Corporate Accounting. Occasional travel to HQ in Coral Gables and collaboration with operations is required to optimize performance and drive financial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Related field, Required
• Master's Degree in MBA, Preferred
• Two (2) years to Four (4) years or more in Experience in a corporate Finance Department within a Fortune 500 Company or consulting firm, Required
• 5 years or more in Post MBA, Preferred
• Must be proficient with computers to include MS Office Intermediate, Required

Responsibilities

• Month-End Closing: journal entries as necessary to re-class revenue/expenses; explanations of variances vs. forecast/annual plan; general ledger research to capture billing opportunities
• Operational Initiatives: identify opportunities for cost/productivity improvements with DOO/DOS/DOR
• Financial Planning & Analysis: forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysis
• Training: provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures and financial tools
• Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance: branch audits to ensure compliance
• Corporate: liaise with Ryder's Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting group
