Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial and analytical support to senior management, group logistics managers, and logistics managers.

The role includes month-end closing, forecasting, and performance analysis, with opportunities to train staff and ensure SOX compliance. The position involves cross-functional collaboration with operations and sales directors and offers compensation in the $75,000–$85,000 range plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Related field is required.
• MBA preferred.
• 2+ to 4+ years in corporate Finance within a Fortune 500 company or consulting firm is required.
• Post MBA 5+ years is preferred.
• Proficiency with computers, including MS Office (intermediate) is required.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Closing: journal entries, variance explanations, GL research to capture billing opportunities.
• Operational Initiatives: identify opportunities for cost/productivity improvements with DOO/DOS/DOR.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysis.
• Training: provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures and financial tools.
• Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance: conduct branch audits to ensure SOX compliance.
• Corporate: liaison with Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting group.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Follow up with tracking/reporting/further recommendations.
