Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to deliver financial analysis and support to senior management and logistics leadership.

The role involves month-end close, forecasting, cost optimization initiatives, and training business unit staff on financial tools and policies, with occasional travel to HQ and Coral Gables. Qualified candidates have a finance background, corporate experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Related field is required.
• Master's Degree in MBA is preferred.
• Two or more years in a corporate Finance Department within a Fortune 500 Company or consulting firm is required.
• Five or more years post-MBA is preferred.
• Proficiency with computers including MS Office (Intermediate) is required.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Closing: journal entries, variance explanations, general ledger research.
• Identify cost/productivity improvement opportunities with DOO, DOS, and DOR.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: forecasting, business planning, and branch performance analysis.
• Provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures and tools.
• Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance: conduct branch audits as needed.
• Act as liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting group.
