Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to manage day‑to‑day cost control, accounting and financial analysis for the Regulated & Renewable Energy (RRE) Midwest group. The role supports leaders with O&M and capital spend oversight of approximately $400M and requires collaboration across fleet sites, regions and jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related discipline with accounting/finance experience.
• 2–3+ years of related experience for Analyst II or 3+ years for Senior Financial Analyst.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis and management reporting to enable strategic decision‑making.
• Consolidate management reporting including actuals, budgets and forecasts with variance explanations.
• Coordinate month‑end close activities and prepare journal entries as needed.
• Support budget and business planning process including guidance, calendars and target amounts.
• Assist with regulatory filings and government reporting where applicable.
• Maintain knowledge of accounting policies and internal controls.
