Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to manage day-to-day cost management, accounting and financial analysis for the Regulated & Renewable Energy Midwest region. The role involves O&M and capital spend oversight of roughly $400M, with collaboration across leaders and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include consolidating financials, testing reporting solutions, and ensuring regulatory and internal policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related discipline with accounting/finance experience.
• 3+ years of related field experience in addition to degree.
• CPA, CIS, CFA or CMA certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide and present accurate financial analysis and reporting for management and executives.
• Support month-end close activities and journal entries as needed.
• Consolidate management reporting including budgets and forecasts with variance explanations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies; coordinate with auditors.
• Lead planning processes for budgets utilizing Hyperion Planning/One Stream Planning tools.
• Develop and maintain standard financial reports and respond to end-user inquiries.
