Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to handle day-to-day cost management, accounting, and financial analysis for the Regulated & Renewable Energy Midwest organization. You will support O&M and capital spend, approx.

$400M, and deliver end-user reporting, forecasting, and regulatory knowledge across jurisdictions. The role requires strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills, with familiarity in accounting policies, GAAP, and finance systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or similar with relevant work experience.
• 3+ years of related experience for Senior Financial Analyst; 4+ years for higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide and present accurate financial analysis and management reporting to senior management.
• Consolidate actuals, budgets and forecasts; explain variances and trends.
• Coordinate month-end close activities and prepare journal entries.
• Assist with governmental filings, including FERC reports and rate case support.
• Support SOX documentation updates and testing; ensure GAAP compliance.
