Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to manage cost control, accounting, and financial planning for the Regulated & Renewable Energy Midwest organization. The role supports O&M and capital spend (~$400M) and interacts with multiple leaders to ensure GAAP compliance and timely reporting.

The position requires strong technical and functional reporting skills, experience with budget planning tools, and the ability to work across fleet sites and jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related field.
• 3+ years of related experience; 2 years for lower level with higher qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide and present accurate financial analysis and management reporting to senior management.
• Analyze data, consolidate management reporting, and explain variances.
• Support month-end close activities and prepare journal entries.
