Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to manage day-to-day cost control, accounting and financial analysis for the Regulated & Renewable Energy Midwest organization. You will support O&M and capital spend of about $400M and prepare consolidated financials for jurisdictional reporting.

The role requires strong technical and functional reporting skills, collaboration with leaders, and adherence to GAAP while engaging with various project teams and auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or similar with related experience.
• 2+ years (4+ preferred) of increasingly diverse experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide and present accurate financial analysis and management reporting to senior management.
• Consolidate management reporting including actuals, budgets and forecasts with variance explanations.
• Analyze data to identify errors and ensure accuracy of financial information.
• Coordinate month-end close activities and post journal entries as needed.
• Assist with governmental filings, including quarterly and annual reports.
• Support SOX documentation updates and management testing.
