Job summary

Duke Energy in Indiana seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to lead day-to-day cost management, accounting and financial analysis for the RRE Midwest. You will oversee O&M and capital spend around $400M, and provide end-user financial reporting and regulatory knowledge to support leadership and external reporting.

The role requires collaboration with project teams, adherence to GAAP, and strengthening processes across budgeting, planning and reporting for multiple fleet sites and jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics or related discipline with relevant experience.
• 2+ years (4+ desired) of related field experience for Financial Analyst II; 3+ years (6+ desired) for Senior Financial Analyst.

Responsibilities

• Provide and present accurate and relevant financial analysis and management reporting to senior management.
• Consolidate management financial reporting including actuals, budgets and forecasts.
• Coordinate and support month-end close activities and journal entries.
• Assist in SOX documentation updates and management testing.
• Maintain knowledge of accounting policies and impacts and provide guidance on complex issues.
