Job summary

Duke Energy in the United States seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to lead cost management, accounting and financial analysis for the Regulated & Renewable Energy Midwest organization. You will support O&M and capital spend around $400M and provide end-user reporting for management, with cross-functional collaboration and adherence to GAAP.

You will test reporting solutions, work with project teams, and help drive budgeting and planning processes using Hyperion/One Stream tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics, or equivalent with related experience.
• 2+ years (4+ desired) of diverse or complex experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide and present accurate financial analysis and management reporting to senior management to enable strategic decision-making.
• Analyze and consolidate management reporting including actuals, budgets and forecasts with variance explanations.
• Coordinate month-end close activities and prepare journal entries and accruals as needed.
• Assist with governmental filings, FERC reports, rate case support and recoverables.
• Support internal/external audits and SOX documentation updates.
