Job summary

Reading International, Inc. in New York City is seeking a Financial Analyst II to advance budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. You will collaborate with the executive management team to analyze department finances and develop budgets to optimize costs.

Responsibilities include variance analysis, forecast model management, and delivering board-ready insights. Strong Excel, financial modeling, and interaction with senior executives are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in a financial or analytical role.
• Background in financial modeling and business analysis with solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Yardi is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly variance analysis and explanations for actuals vs. budget/forecast.
• Manage the financial forecast process by running and maintaining forecast models.
• Provide commentary and visibility into financial performance for internal customers and management.
• Forecast key performance indicators using historical and statistical methods.
• Develop and publish operating dashboards.
• Report consolidated financial statements and analysis to the management team.
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and management reporting process improvements.
• Prepare business review presentations, annual budget materials, and board support documents.
