Job summary

Nomura is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst in New York, NY to support monthly corporate analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You will collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to explain variances and drive financial insights.

The role focuses on ensuring accuracy, building efficient reporting, and supporting annual budgeting processes within a dynamic finance organization.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of FP&A experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field.
• Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience with Oracle: Hyperion / Essbase is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and summarize findings.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly analysis of corporate results for senior management with insights on variance drivers.
• Prepare firm-wide management reporting for weekly, monthly, and quarterly deliverables with commentary.
• Liaise with business managers during the annual budget process and respond to ad-hoc requests.
• Assist with corporate allocation processes and quantify impact of changes.
• Manage execution and delivery of the Americas budget with partnering CAOs to track variances.
• Build checks and controls to ensure report accuracy and automate processes where possible.
• Assist with ongoing finance division projects and initiatives.
• Support daily revenue flash reporting to senior management and quarterly COO reporting.
