Qualifications

• 3-6+ years of progressive financial analysis / FP&A experience.
• Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and P&L analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build and maintain detailed financial models.

Responsibilities

• Own and support the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes across corporate functions and operating business units.

Senior Financial Analyst Irving, TX - 1 day in office $95-105k

Vaco is working with one of their long term clients seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join a growing, private equity-backed organization. This individual will play a key role across both corporate and P&L-focused FP&A, partnering closely with finance leadership and operational leaders to provide financial insight, improve forecasting, and support strategic decision‑making.

This is a highly visible, hands‑on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment and wants broad exposure to the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and support the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes across corporate functions and operating business units.


• Develop and maintain P&L forecasts, including revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, EBITDA, and key business drivers.


• Perform monthly financial analysis, including budget‑to‑actual, forecast‑to‑actual, and prior‑year variance analysis.


• Partner with department and operational leaders to understand financial performance, identify trends, and improve forecast accuracy.


• Build and maintain financial models, management reporting, dashboards, and KPI analysis to provide visibility into business performance.


• Support corporate FP&A activities, including consolidated reporting, cash flow analysis, headcount planning, and expense management.


• Prepare financial reporting and analysis for executive leadership and private equity stakeholders, including performance trends and key drivers.


• Perform ad hoc financial modeling and scenario analysis to support growth initiatives, investments, pricing, and strategic business decisions.


• Help improve FP&A processes, reporting tools, and forecasting capabilities as the organization continues to scale.


• Partner cross‑functionally with Accounting during the monthly close to ensure accurate reporting and understand key financial variances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.


• 3-6+ years of progressive financial analysis / FP&A experience, preferably within a middle‑market or growing organization.


• Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and P&L analysis.


• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build and maintain detailed financial models.


• Experience working with ERP, planning, and/or business intelligence tools preferred.


• Strong understanding of financial statements and the relationships between the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.


• Ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance business partners.


• Comfortable operating in a lean, hands‑on environment where priorities can evolve quickly.


• Private equity-backed or high‑growth company experience is a plus.
