Opportunity for Impact

We are seeking an experienced, highly analytical, and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team at Alloy. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this role will be instrumental in developing and refining financial models and forecasting tools that drive Alloy’s financial strategy. A key responsibility of this role will be to build a new financial modeling tool in Excel to replace the current system, ensuring greater accuracy, efficiency, and adaptability for business decision-making.

As a key player in the financial operations of a rapidly growing company, you will help us navigate the complexities of financial forecasting, month and quarter-end close, and scenario analysis—all while supporting our mission to improve women's health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Build and maintain financials forecast to forecast P&L, Balance sheet, and statement of cash flows. Develop improved forecasting models for various revenue streams including retention modeling.
  • Scenario Modeling: Create and manage sophisticated scenario models to assess various business outcomes under different conditions. Provide proactive recommendations based on insights gained from these models, identifying potential risks and growth opportunities.
  • Inventory Management Integration: Consider the financial impact of carrying inventory and incorporate this into forecasting models. Ensure cash flow and working capital projections align with real-time inventory data.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly analysis of Alloy’s financial performance and provide actionable insights to the Director of Finance and senior leadership. Identify trends, challenges, and opportunities that influence strategic decisions.
  • Insight Generation & Strategic Decision Support: Proactively ask the right questions and dive deep into financial data to uncover new insights. Make data-driven recommendations that influence business decisions and guide priorities.
  • Tracking Mechanisms & Initiative Impact: Set up and maintain tracking systems for various business initiatives outside of the core financial model, ensuring alignment with Alloy’s financial goals.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with teams across the business, including Operations, Product, and Marketing, to align financial strategy with broader business goals and provide financial insights that inform decision-making.
  • Data Extraction & Analysis: Utilize SQL for querying and pulling relevant financial data from Alloy’s systems, leveraging existing queries and ensuring that extracted data is useful for strategic financial analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, with a strong background in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario modeling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including experience building custom financial modeling tools from the ground up.
  • Strong SQL skills to extract and manipulate financial data, with experience querying databases and updating existing queries.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large datasets and utilizing data to drive business decisions.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management and its financial implications on working capital and cash flow.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and provide high-level strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, where your insights will directly impact Alloy’s growth and success.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with subscription-based financial models and forecasting.
  • Experience in high-growth environments.
  • Exposure to both large corporate environments and startup cultures is a plus.
