LHH is partnering with a growing, dynamic manufacturing organization seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in Silver Spring, MD. This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with operations to drive financial performance and strategic decision-making.

Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, with a strong emphasis on supporting manufacturing operations. This individual will work cross-functionally to provide insights into cost structures, improve forecasting accuracy, and support leadership with data-driven recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning and forecasting processes
• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and operational performance metrics
• Partner with plant leadership and operations teams to drive cost efficiencies and margin improvement
• Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and KPI analysis to senior leadership
• Support budgeting process, including expense and capital planning
• Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights on trends and performance
• Assist with inventory analysis, standard costing, and cost accounting processes
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within FP&A
• Support ad hoc financial modeling and strategic initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 4–7+ years of progressive financial analysis experience
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory, and operational finance
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting plant or operations teams
• Exposure to standard costing and variance analysis
• Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
• Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite in Silver Spring, MD
