Job summary

PrideStaff Financial is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for manufacturing and supply chain to own inventory KPIs, cost controls, and product margin performance. This onsite role is located in Mount Olive, NJ, with close collaboration across operations and sales.

You will analyze gross margins, standard costing, landed costs, and transportation expenses while building automated stock monitoring tools in ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.

Qualifications

• 6–9+ years in FP&A within manufacturing, consumer goods (CPG), wholesale, or distribution environments.
• Hands‑on experience with inventory mechanics, landed transportation costs, and driver‑based gross margin improvement.
• Deep understanding of how supply chain operations affect Balance Sheet and P&L.
• Advanced Excel and hands‑on ERP/BI tool experience (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Own physical stock KPIs (DOI, turnover, inventory velocity, holding costs) and analyze their impact on the P&L and working capital.
• Drive gross margin optimization through standard costing, landed costs, and freight analyses against selling prices.
• Partner with IT and operations to build automated stock monitoring tools within ERP systems.
• Collaborate with sales leadership on pricing strategy, deal margins, and profitability models.

About the Opportunity

PrideStaff Financial has partnered with a national product manufacturer and distributor serving the healthcare, hospitality, and e-commerce sectors. We are seeking a proactive Senior Financial Analyst with a background in manufacturing or physical goods distribution. Operating with minimal supervision, you will take complete ownership of inventory KPIs, manufacturing/supply chain cost controls, and product margin performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory & Working Capital: Own physical stock KPIs (DOI, turnover, inventory velocity, dynamic holding costs); analyze stock control gaps and evaluate their direct impact on the P&L, Balance Sheet, and working capital.
• Manufacturing & COGS Analysis: Drive granular gross margin optimization; evaluate standard costing, landed costs, inbound freight, and transportation expenses against customer selling prices to capture cost‑saving opportunities.
• Systems & Data Integrity: Partner with IT and plant/warehouse operations to build automated stock monitoring tools within ERP systems.
• Commercial Finance: Partner with sales leadership on product pricing strategies, deal margins, customer profitability, and dynamic financial modeling.

Core Requirements

• Experience: 6–9+ years in FP&A with dedicated experience in manufacturing, consumer goods (CPG), wholesale, or distribution environments. (Banking/Financial Services backgrounds will not fit this role).
• Hands‑on Expertise: Proven track record in inventory mechanics, landed transportation costs, and driver‑based gross margin improvement.
• Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of how supply chain operations, inventory valuation, and stock control directly affect Balance Sheet and P&L performance.
• Work Style & Tech: High‑autonomy self‑starter who adapts quickly to operational concepts. Advanced Excel (dynamic modeling) and hands‑on experience with manufacturing/distribution ERPs (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and BI tools.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
