Job summary

The University of Georgia seeks a Senior Financial Accountant in the FD-Accounting department to manage GASB 87 Leased Assets and GASB 96 SBITAs, review Departmental Sales and Services billing rates, and assist with capital asset determinations, reconciliations, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• 5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Experience with GASB standards and governmental accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and analyzes financial data and reports for university administration and external agencies.
• Reviews GASB 87 Leased Assets and GASB 96 SBITAs reporting.
• Performs reconciliations of GL balance sheet and transactional data.
• Assists with fiscal year end closeout and notes disclosures.
• Reviews DSS billing rates and related policy compliance.
• Supports process improvement initiatives using BI tools.
