Job summary

NRG Energy seeks a Senior Manager of Finance to join the Development, Engineering, and Construction team. This hybrid role can be based in Houston, TX, Princeton, NJ, or other NRG offices.

You will evaluate complex commercial arrangements for power generation and storage, underpinning decisions for wholesale supply portfolios from inception to operation. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a closely related field.
• Seven (7) years of professional experience.
• Three (3) years of management experience.
• Proforma financial modeling and analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to evaluate future performance and scenario risk of energy-related development opportunities.
• Work closely with other internal departments and third parties to gather data and ensure modeling assumptions and mechanics are reasonable and accurate.
• Evaluate projected cash flow, financial performance, and impacts to key financial metrics under different scenarios.
• Develop presentation materials to support internal approval processes.
• Present findings and recommendations on planned courses of action.
• Provide support for project financing efforts including analysis of financing packages, leading due diligence activities, and supporting closing obligations.
• Interface with financial institutions and credit agencies.
• Support corporate budgeting and forecasting efforts as required.
• Perform industry research and ad-hoc analyses as required.
