Job summary

NRG Energy is seeking a Director of Construction Project Management to direct and manage the execution of large-scale utility projects, including conventional, energy storage, and renewable facilities.

This role coordinates internal and external resources across safety, environmental, development, engineering, estimating, supply chain, scheduling and commissioning on-site, ensuring on-time delivery within budget while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; PE preferred.
• 10+ years leading large-scale industrial construction projects.
• Experience with projects $1B+ and energy generation fields preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction means and methods.
• Proficient in Primavera schedules and critical path analysis.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage execution of utility-scale projects on time and within budget.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
• Ensure licenses and permits are obtained to support projects.
• Provide oversight and approvals for design, procurement, construction and testing.
• Report progress with KPI metrics on safety, environmental, schedule and budget.
