We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Manager of Finance to join our Development, Engineering, and Construction team. This position can work out of Houston, TX, Princeton, NJ, or other NRG office locations on a hybrid basis. The ideal candidate will manage the evaluation of complex commercial arrangements for power generation and storage solutions designed to support emerging large load retail business opportunities. These evaluations will underpin recommendations on critical decisions effecting NRG’s industry-leading wholesale supply portfolio from project inception through commencement of operation. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success in this position.
Strong understanding of business finance, accounting, tax, and economic concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.
Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) at all levels of the organization.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Expert in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated ability to work on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles.
Ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality with employee personnel, NRG, and customer information.
Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all individuals both internal and external.
